The large adjacent forest area is perfect for special exploration and leisurely outings all year round: Depending on the season, you can gather delicious berries or mushrooms during a walk, which you can then turn into a special camping meal on the camp stove or in the kitchen of our rental accommodations—mmm… simply delicious!

Culture enthusiasts can explore historic towns, museums, and regional attractions—trips to the historic old town of Weißenburg (about 20 km), Schwabach, known for its gold-beating tradition (about 15 km), and the metropolis of Nuremberg with its Imperial Castle, museums, and lively old town (about 35 km). What sports can you do right at the campground?
There are plenty of activities to enjoy around the Waldsee: swimming, stand-up paddleboarding, jogging, biking, and Nordic walking all start right outside the door. There’s also a soccer field available for team sports.
Can I rent sports equipment at Waldsee?

Absolutely! Several well-marked hiking and biking trails lead from the campground through forests, meadows, and along picturesque lakes. You can pick up free maps at the front desk.
Are there regular sports events or classes?
During peak season , we offer camper festivals featuring soccer tournaments and guided hikes throughout the season . You can find all the dates on the notice board at the front desk or on our information board.
